YESTERDAY'S EVENTS The triangular tournament between teams from the boys’ divisions of the Young Men’s Christian Associations was continued .yesterday afternoon and evening, when a short programme of athletic events and bastketball and dodgeball matches were held. ATHLETICS. A very fair standard of running wa* displayed in the athletic events, which resulted as follow : 100 Yards.—Allan (Timaru) 1, Sari (Tiroaru), R. Thomson (Christchurch), and Stanley (Christchurch), equal, 2. Nine started. Time, llsec. 880 Yards.—Winilmgton (Timaru) 1, Burton (Christchurch) 2, Wallace (Dunedin) 3. Nine started. Time, 2min 31 l-ssec. 220 Yards.—Allen (Timaru) 1, R, : Thomson (Christchurch) 2, Sara (Tim. aru) 3. Nine started. Time, 25 3-sseo, INDOOR SPORTS. The basketball and dodgeball matche* were played last night at the Y’.M.C.A., resulting as follow Basketball.—Timaru 6, Dunedin Ij Christchurch 17, Dunedin 8; Christ, church 16, Timaru 5. The final plao. ings were as follow Christchurch 1,Timaru 2, Dunedin 3. Dodgeball.—Dunedin beat Christchurch, Dunedin beat Timaru,’ Timaru beat Christchurch.
