TIMARU WINS SHIELD By wining the three final events of the athletics Timcni retained the Herbert Smith Trust Shield by a substantial . margin of , points in the annual South Island tournament, concluded this morning, between teams representative of the boys’ divisions of the Young Men’s Christian Associations. The shield points are: Tiniafu 23, Christchurch 17, Dunedin 15. The following are the results of the athletics, which were decided at the Caledonian Ground: — MILE RACE.
