ISSUE DF WORKING ROOTS The Unemployment Board has arranged for the manufacture of further supplies of working boots for the purpose of making a third issue to, inter alia, scheme 5 workers employed on a ration basis and men in receipt of sustenance, who as at May 6, 1935, were registered and eligible for relief and had been in receipt of relief for a period of at least 13 weeks during the 12 months ended May 4, 1935, and who have not received an issue of boots at any time during the preceding six months. The eligible men registered at Dunedin in Classes E. F. 6, H, and I will be dealt with first. They should apply at the Employment Bureau for application forms, which should be completed and returned to the bureau. Supplies of application forms will b.e available at the Borough Council’s office at Ravensbourne and the County Council’s office at Portobello. TO-NIGHT’S DANCE The Social Committee of the N.U.W.M. will hold a re-opening dance to-night in the Trades Hall. It is intended to run one every week. Firstclass musio and a splendid supper will be provided. Monte Carlos and spot light are on the programme.
