BOA ATTACKS MAN

ORDEAL AT FAIR PARIS, March 25. A terrifying experience has befallen a snake charmer, M. Lambert, at the annual fair at Maubeuge, Northern France. He was putting a 14{t boa constrictor in its cage when it suddenly wound itself round him and dug its tangs into his face. Hearing the charmer’s cries, his brother and sister went to his aid. The boa was beaten off, but its fangs were so deeply embedded in M. Lambert’s cheeks that they had to be broken off. Remnants of the fangs had later to be extracted by a surgeon. In addition to face and body wounds the charmer is suffering from severe shock.
