REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, May 14. The Exchequer returns for the past week show that the total ordinary revenue for the current financial year to date amounts to £67,716,706, compared with £68,546,597 at the corresponding date last year. The total expenditure, exclusive of self-balancing items, amounts to £88,910,168. At the corresponding date last year the total was £85,842,759. BOARD OF TRADE RETURNS LONDON, May 15. (Received May 16, at 11 a.m.) The Board of Trade returns for April show that the imports amounted to £59,843,000, the exports to £33,009,000, and the re-exports to £4,203,000. The principal increases compared with April last year werelmports: Dairy produce, £1,041,000; fresh fruit and vegetables, £428,000; wool, £150,000; nouferrous metals and manufactures, £349,000; oils, fats, resins, and manufactures, £990,000. Exports; Wool, £132,000; iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £690,000; machinery, £582,000; vehicles, £622,000. The prim cipal decreases were: —Imports: Grain and flour, £201,000; wood and timber, £214,000; cotton, £214,000; hides and skins, £302,000; iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £270,000. Exports; Woollen worsted yarns, £147,000. Re-exports: Wool, £783,000; chemicals, £306,000.
