WEATHER FORECAST
FINE AND MILD , The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the southern district—Dunedin, Port Chalmers, Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton. Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay:—There is little change in the' situation. An anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers New- Zealand, while sbs How depressions continue to develop over South-eastern Australia. _ Forecast! Light to moderate and variable winds, with south-westerlies predominating; weather fair to fine arid mild, with some morning fogs; seas smooth to moderate. ... FINE, BUT COOL. A fairly heavy shower of rain fell early yesterday morning, arid the day was for the most part dull. A bright sun broke out this morning, fine conditions continuing all-day. Tempera--tures over yesterday and to-day were cool.
