OTAGO SECTION’S ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Otago section, New Zealand Alpine Club was held in the University Club rooms on Wednesday evening, Mr J. Robertson being in the chair. _ The chairman 1 extended congratulations on a successful season’s climbing, to all members and their friends, and referred particularly to the return, to Dunedin of Mr Alastair Duthie, a member of the Ellsworth Antarctic : expedition, who was greeted with applause. The annual report disclosed a healthy and vigorous year, and the financial state or the club was also very sound, even after, a large sum had been contributed towards the erection of a new alpine hut on the Godley Glacier. Buddiconn At the conclusion of the business sup* per was served, and ah informal lout spent in discussing the season’s clinking and examining photographs.
