SYDNEY TOWN HALL

STANDING ON CROWN LAND Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, April 8. (Received April 3, at 12.30 p.m.) Officials of the Justice Department, while searching through old documents of one hundred years ago, in connection with the St. Andrew’s Cathedral site, made the remarkable discovery that the site on which the Town Hail now stands is Crown land, and therefore does not belong to the City Council, but to the Government. St. Andrew’s Cathedral, which adjoins the Town Hall, is to be enlarged.
