POPULAR VAUDEVILLE
STAN. M‘KAY'B GAIETIES Entertainment of a sparkling nature is provided in ‘ Happy Miss Revue,” the second production of Stan M‘Kay’s Company, which again attracted a large audience to His Majesty’s Theatre last night. This second > presentation,is perhaps even more varied and attractive than the initial show. A departure has been made from the usual revue. There is the wire rope performance of Trampo, for instance, who amazes by his stunts on the rope, which he uses as a couch and for other ridiculous purposes. Then there are the Three Grecians in, classical poses, Frank Perrin and Ike Delavale in their humourous sketches, which keep the audience in the best of moods, and other varied attractions. Mr Victor Burke pleases with his popular songs, while all the skill of yodelling is given in the items by the Yodelling Newtons. Not tho least feature of the show is the dancing. The Sun-kissed Ballet gives some clever , exhibitions while Phil and Vera provoke applause by their rhythmic turns., Miss Ada Lynn, the possessor of a sweet soprano voice contributes several songs. _ An efficient orchestra, under the direction of Miss May Brooke, lends the performers every support. There will be no matinee to-morrow, the next afternoon performance being on Saturday at 2.30, when ‘ Hikin’ Thru’ ’ is to be presented for the first time.. At this matinee another bicycle, as well as many appropriate gifts wijl be given away. The winner of the bicycle on Saturday was : Miss _ Ngaire Brown, Chapel street, Kaikorai.
