STUDENTS RETURN FROM U.S.A. [Per United Prkm Association.] '■ WELLINGTON, April 1. Two members of a party of eighteen —Misses D. Pearce and D. Sparks—who have been on an educational tour of the United States arranged by the Board of Social Study and Training, Sydney, are through passengers by the Makura to Sydney. The board has been functioning for seven years, but this was the first travel tour undertaken. The principal object of the board is to enable, members to study the methods of social work in America. The members embrace university students or esstudents of Sydney University. The party spent two months in the States, mostly at Minnesota University, but visited about thirty of the forty-eight States. Some of the party stayed behind to continue work in social science.
It is hoped to arrange for an interchange of workers between the two countries.
