Appreciation of the efforts of the Government to bring about a more satisfactory state of affairs in the dairying industry is expressed by sixteen dairy companies in a resolution forwarded to Mr Forbes. Jn forwarding the resolution, which approves of the setting up of the commission, and expresses confidence that Cabinet will at any rate give effect to recommendations that will afford some immediate relief,' Mr G. H. Smith, secretary of the Edendale Company, says the directors have been much perturbed at the opposition to, and unfair criticism levelled at the Governmental! connection with its efforts to reorganise the industry.
