The Finance Bill will make its apfearance in the House this afternoon, n the main the measure will deal with a number of more or less formal matters which require legislative validation, but there will be one or two clauses of importance. There will be provision for safeguarding the superannuation rights of Mr Justice Frazer, who was recently appointed deputy chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture. As president of the Court of Arbitration Mr Justice Frazer was entitled to superannuation on retirement, but the same condition would not apply on his relinquishing his new position. That will be rectified in the Finance Bill. The recent transfer of some funds of the Christchurch municipal 1 electricity department to the Christchurch Relief Depot will be validated. ■ Mr Coates announced to-day that the legislation providing for the winding up of a number of companies in the M‘Arthur group would not be introduced until next week. The House will sit to-morrow from 10.30 a.m. until 5.30 p.m., and there will also be a full sitting on Monday. It is expected that the session will end on Thursday nest.
