ACCIDENTS AND HEATHS
TRAGIC END OF HOLIDAY. Iris Wybrow, aged twenty-one, believed to'have come from Invercargill, was found dead yesterday afternoon with a gas tube in her mouth in a house in Osborne street, Phillipstown, Christchurch. The young woman was on a holiday visit to Christchurch, and had been on a visit to Temuka before going to Christchurch. CYCLIST’S EYE INJURED. Injuries to an eye and facial abrasions were sustained by Leonard M'Evoy, married, aged thirty-four, when he fell from his bicycle in loose gravel at Macandrew Bay this morning. He was admitted to hospital at 11 o’clock. HEART TROUBLE. A Christchurch Association message states that Frederick Goudie, aged 69, an indent agent, of Auckland, was found devd in a room at_ Coker’s Hotel, where he had been staying, this morning. He was well known in business circles. Deceased had previously complained of pains in the chest, and apparently was subject to heart trouble. Mo inquest is deemed necessary. CAUGHT BY FALL OF COAL, William Ballantyne, a miner, aged thirty, employed at Linton Company’s mine at Ohai', was caught by a fall of coal yesterday afternoon and suffered extensive crushing and a fracture of the spine.. He was admitted to River* ton Hospital and died this morning. Deceased was a married man with three young children.-—lnvercargill Press Association,
