The debate was interrupted after the supper adjournment to enable Mr Coates to lay before the House a statement regarding the Investment Executive Trust and allied companies, and th« report of inspectors appointed to investigate the companies’ affairs. He announced that the Government was bringing down legislation in the present session providing for the winding up of certain companies in accordance with the recommendations of the inspectors* Mr Coates’s statement and the in* specters’ reports are given elsewhere.
