INTER-FACULTY SPORTS
The University interfaculty sports will be held at Logan Park to-morrow afternoon. Although the heavy rain experienced earlier in the. week has prevented training activities the track is in good condition for the. preliminary events, and provided no more rain faffs tbe going should be good. Apart from the interfacility events, in which there will be several provincial champions competing, L. C. APLachlan, the New Zealand mile representative at the Centenary Games, will, in the mile open, attempt to better the present Otago record. On tbo mark with hiAi will be Thco Allen, who performed so .well in tbo mile and half-mile at the New Zealand track championships this month, and who broke two minutes at Alilton last Saturday. Other well-known athletes competing will be 11. O. Johnson, the Otago polo vault champion and field athlete; A. L. Price, Otago 440yds champion; M. K. Robinson, a newcomer to Dunedin, who is present Now Zealand University one mile champion; E. G. Young, Canterbury, 120yds hurdles champion; J. M. Watt, the Wellington quarter-milcr, and many others. The meeting will be run by Otago Centre officials, under the control of .Messrs L. E. Macassey and P. \V. Breen. Afternoon tea will be available, ami there will be several amusing side shows.
