Speaking at Kenilworth, Captain’ Eden referred to the fact that he had been asked to represent His Majesty’s Government on a visit to Moscow and Warsaw in response to the invitation of the Soviet and Polish Governments, and said: “ We in this country desire nothing so much as a settlement on th* Continent of Europe which will, by it* solution of outstanding problems, secure the maintenance of peaceful and friendly relations, and the authority of the League of Nations for many year* to come. To achieve this the co-opera-tion of all nations is essential. Thai' is the object, and that is the result we must surely strive to achieve. It is because I believe so deeply in tha truth of what I have just said that I am so happy to have been entrusted with this important mission,” It is understood that no date has yet been fixed for Captain Eden’s visit to Moscow and Warsaw, but it is hoped that it will be possible to arrange it towards the end of the present mout^t
