DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Business was quieter on the market this morning, though three sales were reported. Union Banks had further business at £8 13s, but there was no inquiry when another parcel was offered at the same figure. New Zealands attracted a buyer at 495, but sellers were firm at 49s 3d. National and South British Insurances wore fractionally easier, while a buyer of A.P.A.’s appeared at 10s. Little interest was displayed in meat preserving shares, though Refrigerating paids had business at 19s 7d, yesterday’s selling price. Only one buyer was in evidence for Loan and Agency shares, while Now Zealand Guarantee Corporations iiad a parcel oi 1,000 offered at 6s without producing a bid. There was strong demand for better-class industrial stocks, and improved prices were recorded against Donaghy’s Rope and Twine, Dunedin-Kaikorai Trams, and Mosgiel Woollens. A parcel of ‘ Otago Daily Times ’ shares was offered at 52s 6d without response. Interest in gold mining shares was confined to only a few of the gold producing concerns. Gillespies were inclined to lose ground, and Big Rivers revealed a hardening tendency. Conditions were unchanged in the Government Loan section. SALES.
