R.S.A. CLUB'S REPORT The annual report of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Small-bore Rifle Club, to be presented at the annual meeting on March 11, states;— During the season members engaged in 35 shoots in all—club matches 11, interclub matches 10, Cowie Shield matches 3, home and home matches 3, club practice shoots 8. Success in the interclub matches and Cowio Shield matches was not very marked, and-the position gained in the interclub final was not as good as in the previous season. In the Cowie Shield matches the club made an effort and entered four teams, but could not get better than sixth place in the final aggregate out of a total entry of eighteen teams. Home and home matches were well contested, and enjoyed by club members. The fixtures against the Christchurch Returned Soldiers’ Association and the Wellington and West Coast (Wanganui) Regiment are now annual events. After a lapse of a year or two, a match was again fired against the Cromwell Railway M.R.C. No teams. were entered ‘for any of the New Zealand Miniature Rifle Association matches fired during the season. All cjub rifles, sixain number, are reported to be in good order and condition. Covers have now been provided for every rifle. The rifle locker and all other gear are in good order. During the seasipn several evenings were spent at billiards and snooker with sister clubs. A friendly game of cricket was played against a team from the Returned Soldiers’ Choir. The annual presentation of prizes was held in the Railway rifle range, and a very pleasant evening was spent in song and story.
