’ LATEST RETURNS v REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE. % r (British Official Wireless.) Frees Asaodation—By Xalograph—Copyrifb* RUGBY, February 26. The latest /Treasury returns show that ordinary revenue for the financial . year to February 23 amounted to £620,169,263, compared with £631,766,084 for the corresponding- period last year. Including self-balancing revenue, the fig- ’ ures, are £698,409,263 and £708,596,084 respectively. Income tax collected last week amounted-'to £12,821,000, bringing the total to date to £188,490,000, ' against £186,673j000 at the corresponding date last year. . The total ordinary expenditure to last 1 Saturday was £632,653,933, com- : pared with £619,562,255 at February 24,1934. With self-balancing expenditure the total for the current year is £719,055,601, against £705,215,300. COMMISSIONERS REAPPOINTED. (British Official Wireless.) ; ' RUGBY, February 26. The Commissioners of the Treasury have been Reappointed. Sir George May will be' chairman and Sir Sidney Chapman and Sir G. Powell members of the Import Duties Advisory Committee for a further term of three years from March 1.
