In announcing Cabinet’s decision to continue the embargo on the export of pure merinos, but to allow the export of Corriedalcs and PolWarthS, Mr Lyons said it appeared to be beyond question that if Australia refused to meet requests for Corriedalcs And Polwarths New Zealand would secure the orders instead.
