WALLER’S FLIGHT COMPLETED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright BRUSSELS. December 28. Kenneth Waller (who flew to the Belgian Congo and back) has arrived, completing 4,000 miles in 57h 19min, including stops. The last lap of 1,100 miles was completed in 4h 59min. Waller and Freanchomme were presented with flowers and carried to a pavilion. Neither appeared to he tired. General Gillieaux, commanding the Belgian Air Force, praised the regularity of the outward ' and homeward flights. The airmen in reply said that in future the service would need planes equal in speed to the Comet, and they should ■be equipped with wireless. It was difficult to make a comparison with the Melbourne Race as they were not racing. ARRIVAL AT LYHPHE HONOURED BY BELGIUM. LONDON, December 30. (Received December 31, at 10.30 a.m.) Waller arrived at Lympne in his Comet, flying from Brussels in forty minutes, accompanied by a Belgian (Lyneaur), who, standing in the cockpit, announced to the large crowd gathered tc welcome the aviator that the King of the Belgians had conferred on Waller the Order of the Lion of Africa, which is only awarded for distinguished services and great feats. RUMANIA TO AUSTRALIA BUCHAREST, December 28. A monoplane built in Rumania and named King Carol of Rumania is leavon Sunday for Australia. It will be piloted by Massile Dumitrescu, a twenty-nine-year-old lawyer, and a companion. King Carol bade farewell to the airmen, who plan to reach Darwin in nine days. Frimu is flying a two-seater tourer monoplane with a top speed of 160 miles and a cruising speed of 125 miles an hour. Other Rumanians are simultaneously flying to Calcutta and Cape Town. '
