LIEUTENANT-COLONEL WARD Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, December 19. (Received December 20, at 10 a.m.) The death is announced of Lieuten-ant-Colonel Ward, an ex-member of the House of Commons. [Lieutenant-colonel John Ward was born in 1866. He served in the Sudan and distinguished himself in the European War. He raised five labour battalions. In 1885 he joined the Social Democratic Federation, _ and later founded the Navvies’ Union. He sab as an Independent member in- the House of Commons from 1906 to 1929.]
