DAIL PASSES CITIZENSHIP BILL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright DUBLIN, December 19. (Received December 20, at 1.5 p.m.) The Daii passed the Citizenship Bill by 51 votes to 36. [The Government of the Irish Free State issued the text on November 5 of tlie Citizenship Bill, under which the .title of “British subject” will be abolished in favour of “ citizen of the Irish Free State,” who, however, will be entitled to claim the privileges of British citizenship so long as the Free State is a member of the British Commonwealth. It is added that so long as Free State citizens enjoy the privileges of British citizenship outside the Free State the Government in Dublin will undertake to provide all Empire citizens with similar privileges in the Free State.]
