SCOTTISH SOCIETY SOCIAL

The monthly social and dunce of the Scottish Society was held on Saturday evening. A large number of members being present. Mr W P. Smith was piped to the platform by ;Pipers N. MncPherson and J. Hornal. It being children s night, a special treat was provided for them by the ladies’ social committee.

The programme was carried out by the children themselves and some good talent was discovered from'which the society can draw on a future occasion. The chairman intimated that owing to the holidays, there would be no social in January, and that the annual picnic; would he held on February 9 at Bethunes Gully. Items were given by Masters Jim Moody and John Moody* Misses Agnes and Sadie Hill, Jean Hall, Jessie Hill, Audrey Ramsay, Doreen Smith, Nancy Matheson, and

Master Jim Flett, Miss Shirley MacPherson, Master Jan Smith, Master Roy Park, the boy piper, Highland Reel Party—Misses Ramsay, Loraine Ross, Loraine M'P.herson, Nancy Matheson; Miss Matheson and Mr MacGlashan supplied the music for the dances. Messrs H. Si#ith and JRamsay were M.C.s.
