SINCLAIR—SINCLAIR. On November 24, at tho Manse, Milburn, a‘ very quiet marriage was celebrated by the Rev. Morgan, the contracting, parties being May J. R. Sinclair, only daughter of the late Mr ,W. Y. Sinclair and Mrs Sinclair, of Delta street,, Roslyn, and lan Douglas, second youngest son of Mr James Sinclair, of Waihola. The bride wore a becoming frock of powder blue moss crepe, with a white picture hat, white shoes, and carried a white bag. The future home of the young couple will be in Waihola. FITZWILLIAM—HARDY;. On Wednesday evening, Decerifber 5, St. Paul’s Cathedral was the scene of the marriage of Noeline Riraj younger daughter of the . late Captain F. A. Hardy, and Mrs Hardy, of Ravensbournc; to Edward Gordon, "youngest son of Mr and Mrs J. J. Fitzwilliam, of Ohinemutu, Rotorua. The bride, who was escorted by Captain E. J. Duncan, of Port Chalmers,, wore a streamlined gown of ivory lace. Her tulle veil was confined to her head with a wreath of orapge blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of dainty white irises. She was attended by Miss Molly Duncan (Port Chalmers) as bridesmaid, smartly ‘ frocked in' green lace and carrying a sheaf of deep cream roses. Mr J. N. Smith, of Christchurch, acted as best man. At the reception following tho ceremony tho bride’s mother, who wore a becoming gown of black georgette and lace, received the guests. Mrs Fitzwilliam, the bridegroom’s mother, also wore black. Later in the evening the happy couple left for the Southern Lakes by car. ANDERSON—GRIFFITHS. ' ’The wedding took place on Wednesday, December 6, at First Church, Dunedin, of Doreen, oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs S. E. Griffiths, of St. Clair, to Arthur Gordon, son of the late Mr and Mrs J. Anderson, of Invercargill. The Rev. Professor J; Collie, assisted by the Rev. R. J. Griffiths, brother of the bride, performed the ceremony. Mr and Mrs Anderson’s future home will be at Hollywood terrace, Invercargill. FERGUSON—DEBENHAM. • A quiet but very picturesque wedding took place on Friday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Moray place, when Kathleen Margaret, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Debenham, Dunedin,, was married to Thomas Belfour, eldest sou. of Mr and /Airs T. Ferguson, of Maori Hill. The ceremony was- performed by the Rev. Albert Mead, and Mrs H. C. Campbell was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr J. Debenham, made a lovely picture as she entered the church in her wedding gown of pearl lustre satin, beaute. The gown was cut on long clinging lines, the skirt falling into a square train, and was made with a high neck lino and sleeves falling over the hands. A voluminous veil of white tulle fell from a dainty lace cap and was banded at the back with a wreath of orange bios-

soms. This formed a second train, and was edged with Vandykes of Valenciennes lace. . In Her arm she carried a sheaf of exquisite cream roses. She was attended.by her sister, Miss Barbara Debenham, as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of dainty sprigged taffeta, which fitted tightly to the knees and fell into a full flare to the ankles. The bouffant .sleeves fell off the shoulders, and a bandeau of pink sweet peas .encircled her hair. In her arm she carried a sheaf of pale pink carnations and rose-coloured flowers. Mr Colin Gray acted as best man, and Messrs Jack and Rob. Ferguson ' as ushers. After the’ ceremony a reception was held at. the Bungalow, Melville street, where the bride’s mother received the guests, who were

only immediate relatives of. both families. She wore a becoming gown of fuchsia lace with a ■ three-quarter coateo in lace and georgette and a matching straw hat. Her bouquet was of pink carnations ond fuchsias. Mrs Ferguson wore a smart frock of black Nottingham lace, with a black picture hat wreathed in blue and pink flowers and a bouquet to tone. Miss Dorothy Debenham wore a pretty frock of blue and lemon crepe de chine, with a hat to tone, and Miss Gladys Ferguson a green floral frock and green picture hat. For travelling the bride wore a smart maritime blue ensemble, the frock trimmed with blue and white, and a blue tailored coat. With this she wore a blue lace straw hat with a touch of white. :
