A young and rather absent-minded policeman who had just joined the force was put on .mobile, squad'duty. On his first day out the sergeant accompanied him'in the sidecar of the motor bicycle to see how he got on; All went well for. a while, then suddenly the young police* man, : without taking his eyes off the road, said: “ Are you warm enough, dear?”
