WEDDING CEREMONY

COMPLAINT TC THE KING LONDON, December 8. A letter/ of complaint. has been addressed to the King, the Archbishop of Canterbury (Dr Lang), and the Prims Minister (Mr MacDonald) by the Protestant Alliance, concerning the Royal marriage service. It complains that portions of the rejected Prayer Book of 1928 were used at the wedding. It points out that since its rejection by the House of Commons, the book has not received tha Royal Assent nor been returned to the convocations and the national assembly* therefore it is without Royal, ecclesiastical, or legal authority. The alliance asks the Primate if tha use .of the book was authorised by the King, who is the only lawful authority for, changing the services in it; also why the rejected portions were preferred to the lawful Offices.
