SKELETON DISCOVERED PISA, December 1. Two farm hands, ploughing in Laiatico, near Pisa, struck an obstacle in the soil which they thought was stone, but found to' be a huge bone. Experts from the Pisa Museum found the remains to nelong to a mammoth of the Miocene Age. The skeleton was complete, and only a few parts were badly corroded by age. The parts of the skeleton which , are still solid, including a huge thigh-bone, weighing a quarter of a ton, and two hoofs of immense size, have already been removed. A molar toOth was intact and weighs about 301 b.
