STATEMENT BY BRITISH CHANCELLOR (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright s . RUGBY, , November 27. Answering a question in the House of Commons, the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr Neville Chamberlain) recalled that.the Bank for International Settlements had been set up not merely to handle reparation payments, but to assist in collaboration between the central banks, and that Britain was a party to-the resolution passed at the International Economic Conference which reaffirmed the declaration in favour of close and continuous cooperation of central banks and expressing the view that the Bank for International Settlements should play an increasingly important part in that process.’
