All motor cyclists are invited to attend the meeting, it being the last one before December 1, the date of the beach races. Following the business, the Social! Committee has arranged for a scries of impromptu speeches, which will no doubt cause a fair amount of amusement, and also will assist members to give thefir various opinions on any subject in the future. Entry forms are to hand for the annual twenty-four-hour trial, organised by the South Canterbury Motor Cycle Club, and any members interested are asked to notify the secretary (Mr J. D. Minute intervals will separate riders, the. first man leaving at 9.30 p.m. The route is as follows:—Leave Timaru, south to Oamarvi, Hillgroye, oyer Horseshoe Range to Palmerston via Pigroot to Kyehurn, Ranfurly, Oturehua, Ida Valley, Ophir, Alexandra, Roxburgh, Beaumont, Milton, Dunedin, Leith Valley, Palmerston via Kartigi Beach to Oamaru, Timaru. Thp total distance is 443 miles, and the first man is due back at Timani at approximately 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, December 8. SOCIAL. An invitation has been received from the Tramway Social Club to play a billiards tournament in its clqb rooms on Wednesday, November 28. As eight players at least are needed, available members are asked to attend the meeting to-morrow night, when the Social Committee will nominate a team to represent the club. BEACH RACES. A visit paid to several garages found much evidence of the proximity of the beach races. A piston here, and valve gear there, gave ample proof that motor cycle racing is by no means failing as one of the greatest sports of the day, and it is confidently expected that December 1 will produce the same keen competition and good sportsmanship that has always attended events organised by the local club.
