AUSTRALIAN COMEDY FOR EMPIRE

The Australian comedian, Roy Rene (” Mo ”), who was well-known on the New Zealand stage some years ago, makes his screen debut in ‘ Strike Me Lucky,’ which will commence a season at the Empire on Friday. This Jewish artist is recognised' as a comedian of rare ability, and hilarious as his antics were on the stage, he is given a much wider scope on the screen. The_ film is really a series of highly amusing incidents, and is undoubtedly one or the best comedies yet produced in Australia. The many elaborate scenes in the picture are exceptionally well done, and are quite up to the standard of English and American musical films. There is a splendid supporting cast of noted Australian players.
