WAKARI SCHOOL

There was a scene of great activity in Waraki last Saturday afternoon, the occasion being the opening of a new sports ground recently acquired lor the school. Races were held for children as well as for adults, the prizes for the latter being donated by local tradespeople. Every child received a gift of fruit, sweets, and nuts. Two football learns of boys played a short game, and to conclude the afternoon a cricket match was played between a team of boys and an adult team.
