MR CHARLES SARGEAHT JAGGER Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, November 16. The death is announced of Mr Charles Sargeant dagger, the sculptor; aged forty-nine. Among his outstanding works were statuettes of King George and the Prince of Wales. RUGBY, November 16. (Received November 17, at 1.30 p.m.) Mr Charles dagger, the well-known sculptor, who died at the age of fortymine, was best known for his Royal Artillery memorial at Hyde Park He was engaged on a statue of the King for New Delhi. Ho had also been commissioned to sculpture a colossal figure of Christ to be erected over the new Roman Catholic Cathedral at Liverpool. (Received Nov. 17, at 10.5 a.m.) The death is announced of Mrs Reginald Hargreaves, the original of ‘ Alice in Wonderland.’ MR DION TITHERADGE LONDON, November 16. (Received November 17, at 11 a.m.) The death is announced of Mr Dion Titheradge after an operation. [Mr Dion Titheradge, dramatic author and actor, was born in Melbourne in 1889. He made bis first appearance on the stage at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle-on-Tyne, in March, 1902. He subsequently toured in Australia and New Zealand, playing in a variety of parts. In 1912 he played in New York, and for several years devoted himself to authorship and production. He was a son of the late Mr G. S. Titheradge, who was so well known to New Zealand audiences in the days of the Brough-Boucicault Company.]
