AMERICA'S PROSPECTS NEW YORK, November 14., The defection of Lott and Stoefen has not upset the United States Davis Cup plans or Weakened the confidence of Mr Walter Merrill Hall, president of the Lawn Tennis Association, in' the country’s chances of giving England a brisk challenge. “ For the singles we have a pair of seasoned and reliable internationalists in Allison and Wood. It’s pretty early to forecast what will happen in June, but for the doubles there are Donald Budge and Gene Mako, of the Pacific Coast. This pair show promise of surpassing the greatness of Lott and Stoefen as a team,”
