A flight from New York to Australia via London was hinted as a possibility by Sir Charles Kingsford Smith to-day before he took off in the Lady Southern Cross for Los Angeles. He said he hoped to sell the plane, and if the present negotiations wore carried through lie would soon be making another long flight. The London to. Australia flight was fairly definite, he indicated, but whether ho would make the Atlantic hop depended upon his backers.
