ROYAL MALE CHOIR
An attractive programme lias been prepared for the Uo3*al Dunedin Male Choir’s concert, to hep resented .at the Town Hall on Tuesday. The programme will be opened with * A Homan War Song ’ (Richard Wagner). Mr Ernest Paris (tenor) will present Stanton’s song, ‘ A Spirit Flower, which will be followed by a choir item, Keltic Lament’ (Fowlds), the words of which are from the ancient verse, set to a Jovclv melctdy. A boy soprano in Master Robert Wtakins will sing ‘ Rose Softly Blooming' (Spohr), which will be followed by Shied Young’s Roll the Old Chariot Along ’ by the choir. Miss Ethel Wallace will offer ‘ Rondo (Schuhert-Fnedberg) as a violin solo. The lady soloist, Mrs N. R., Bender- 1 son, of Invercargill, will sing ‘ One Fine Hay’ (Puccini), and the first part will be concluded with two carols by the choir, one of which has a solo for a tenor (Mr Roland W. Dunbar) and one for the boy soprano. After the interval a part song from ‘ Tannhauser for the choir will be conducted by Mr J. A. Haggitt. with Dr Galway at the organ. Mr John Galloway will sing ‘ Onaway Awake.’ Miss Wallace will play two brackets, and the old part song in a new setting, ‘ All Through the Night.’ will be heard. Airs Henderson’s nest contribution will he a bracket of songs, ‘ When the Wind’s in the Chimney ’ (Sanderson) and ‘ Song in the Night’ (Loughborough). An excellent entertainment will be concluded with a duet bv Messrs R. A. Mitchell and J. D. M'Keehiiie, and the festival carol, ‘ Ring Out, Wild Bells.’ The plans will he open at Begg’s to-morrow.
