PACIFIC COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS NEW YORK, October 6. Jn the semi-final of the men's singles, Perry defeated Edward Chandler (California) 6-4, 4-C, 6-4, 6-3. In the third round of the mixed doubles Miss James and Budge defeated Mrs Anna Harper and Tidball 6-1, 8-10, 13-11, In the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles, Miss Nuthall and Perry defeated Miss Eleanor Young (Vancouver) and Mako 7-5, 3-6, 6-0; Miss Barbara Weil and James Dunn defeated Miss Budge and James by default. In the semi-finals, Miss Nuthall and Perry defeated Miss Ryan and Stofl'en 6-2, 3-6, 7-5; Miss Stammers and Wilde defeated Miss Weil and Dunn 6-2, 6-4. Jn the semi-finals of the women’s doubles. Misses Gussie Uaegncr and Margaret Osborne (San Francisco) defeated Misses Ryan and Edith Cross Jensen by default: Misses .Nuthall and James defeated Miss Stammers and Mrs Harper 9-7, 0-4.
