LIFE SAVING SOCIETY AWARDS

[Per United Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, September 27. At a meeting of the New Zealand Council of the Life Saving Society the secretary announced that the New Plymouth Girls’ High School had won the Bamford shield with 99 awards; Takapuna Grammar School (80 awards) was second, and New Plymouth Boys’ High School (75) third. Tho result of the Wigram shield competition was: Taranaki Head Centre 1, Manawatu 2, Wellington 3, Canterbury 4.
