TWENTY-THREE NAILS IN BODY
Staled In have been under the delusion that she had deceived her husband m sonic way or other, a woman, while m hospital, declared that she swallowed a number ol nails because “ she wanted to punish herself by causing herself some pain. ft was revealed at the St. Pancras inquest on Mrs Ada .fane Trigg, aged 5o that twenty-three nails were recovered from the woman's body. According to the husband, Mrs I ngg had lately been in a nervous condition. Ju his opinion she mistook a box ot nails, which was near lied bed, for bor cap of tea. It was explained that the nails did not bring about Mrs Trigg's death, winch resulted from conditions arising Irom blood trouble. V. A verdict, of “death from natural causes ” was recorded.
