COLLISION WITH WHALE

(Received August 29, at IT a.m.) Passengers were flung from thenseats when the Manly ferry steamer Barragoola collided with a whale opposite the Heads. As the boat resumed its voyage the whale was seen heading for the open sea with a large wound in its side.
