DEVELOPMENT IN INDIA Pref* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CALCUTTA, August 28. The Government of India’s scheme for the development of civil aviation at .’ an estimated cost of £750,000 was approved by the Standing Committee of the Assembly. The expenditure, which will be spread over three years, includes £375,000 for landing grounds and aerodromes. This expenditure is necessitated by the rapidly growing volume of traffic, from which the Government cannot fail to obtain pecuniary advantages.
