The South Island Dairy Association has received the following information from London: —Butter: 78s to 795; Danish, 106 s. Cheese: white, 495; col. oured, 45s 6d. Both markets quiet.
Messrs Smith and Smith Ltd., an. nounce in an advertisement in this issue that in consequence of the improved conditions in trade during the last twelve months, and owing ■to brighter prospects ahead, payment of preference share dividends in respect to the current financial year will be made in January and July, 1935, and one year’s arrears clue on tl)e preference shares will be paid in October, 1931, and April, 1935.
