GOVERNMENT NOTICES. UNEMPLOYMENT TAXATION. THE NEXT INSTALMENT of the General Unemployment Levy will become due on Ist. AUGUST, and on the same date the Second Instalment of the Emergency Unemployment Charge of Is in the £ oil income other than salary or wages derived during the year ended 31st March, 1931, willl also fall due. The amount of the Levy Instalment remains at ss, except for the undermentioned classes of Relief Workers, who will be required to pay only Is:—(1) Men employed on a rationed basis under Scheme 5; (2) Workers in receipt of sustenance; (3) All Camp Workers, except those employed at standard rates of pay; (4) Gold Prospectors in receipt of a subsidy from the Unemployment Fund. The reduced payment for Classes (1), (2), and (4) is subject to the workers having been eligible for relief for at least one month prior to due date of each instalment. G. C.
