Brown, amateur, of Waterford (291) second. The others include Davies and Wallasey (291), R. Whitcombe (297), Kirkwood and Padgham (299), Brews and Alliss (302). ■ Easterbrook did the final round in sixty-eight, equalling the record which Brown, the Irish champion, established in the third round. The committee declined to take action in connection with Kirkwood’s allegations, expressing the opinion that there was no ground therefor.
