BRITISH DRAMA LEAGUE

The festival of short plays to he held in the Concert Chamber next week is. quite a new venture in ,-the theatrical fine. Practically all the amateur groups in Otago have, joined the league, and twelve groups are staging a different one-act play. Miss Blake is coming from Wellington to judge, and each night will criticise the plays,, and on Saturday' give her decision. The prizewinning team then competes up north against all other centres. Although the. northern centres have had festivals before, enthusiasts in Dunedin are very hopeful of winning the cup; Season tickets at reduced rates are obtainable at the D.I.C.
