IMPROMPTU ESTABLISHES TRACK RECORD HAMILTON, May 14. Thy second day of the Waikato Trotting Club’s Autumn Meeting was held to-day in perfect weather. 'There was a huge attendance, and the track was in good order. An interesting feature of to-day's meeting was the success of the Hamil-ton-owned and trained Impromptu in an attempt to establish a new track record for Claudelands. Attended by Lindbergh and Edna Worthy, Impromptu, covered the mile in 2min 4 1-osec, setting a now record. In 1927 Jewel Pointer gave an exhibition run at Claudelands, covering the mile in 2min 9 3-ssec. The totalisatov handled £9,139, against £7,168 for eight races in October.
