SERIOUS SHOOTING MISHAP. Frederick H. A. Burling, aged thirty-two, a farmer of Patoka, was seriously injured yesterday afternoon when a .22 rifle discharged and he received the bullet in the stomach. He was engaged in rabbit shooting on his property at the time. He struck the ground with the butt of the rifle, which was discharged by the impact. The injured mag underwent an operation at a late hour last night, but his condition is still critical.—Hastings message.
