(Received May 8, at 10.30 a.m.) Landing at Fort Hancock early on Monday from tho steamship Exilona Samuel Insull was immediately placed on board a train bound for Chicago. Insull made a statement in connection with his Utilities Companies and the charges against him, declaring “I’m back in America to make tho most important fight in my life, not only for freedom, but for complete vindication. I have erred, but my greatest error was in underestimating tho effects of the financial panic on American securities, and particularly on the companies that I was trying to build.” [lnsull last month tried to seek refuge in Turkey. He was arrested in Constantinople on the request of the American Government. Ho appealed to the Turkish courts against his extradition, but his appeal was refused. He was placed on board a steamship, at Smyrna, which was on the eve of sailing for America.]
