After recent rain the going at Invercargill this morning was heavy, and the prospects of the track improving for the meeting on Friday and Saturday are not bright. The referee (Mr_ Bennett) says he first gave his decision in favour of Michot because he thought that the American had committed a foul. An examination by medical men revealed that Meyer had not acted illegally, consequently he reversed his verdict. An X-ray has been made of Michot’s injury, but the result is not available. There is no change in Michot’s condition.
