TECHNICAL SCHOOL CONCERT

Owing to the popularity of the King Edward Technical School’s musical and dramatic concert, which created such a favourable impression on Tuesday night, a further presentation, in addition to to-night’s performance, will be given in the Burt Hall at 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Except for orchestral and choral items, the programme will be rendered in its entirety. Under the skill of Mr T. Vernon Griffiths, the growth of the school’s musical activities has advanced to an appreciable extent, so much so, indeed, that both the band and the orchestra have already found a place in the junior musical life of this city. With a few exceptions, all the music has been composed by Mr Griffiths himself—a factor that adds to the interest of these two units’ presentations. The talented dramatic qualities of the pupils are evinced in two excellent short plays. These two performances are assured of the support of the public.
